Overhauling Belief Through Doubt

If you cling to the same belief in the same thing after all this—there’s a definition for that.

It is time for the world to embrace doubt. Running the hamster wheel for 3500 years of failed promises and the recent increases in divisive belief—beliefs that cause more hatred and self superiority, where peace is mere wordplay without ever meeting that objective.

It is time to doubt. Doubt that all you ever thought you knew was true. Doubt that the founders of religion and wealth blazed trails in actual wisdom, or just the most eloquently wrong winners of a debate in the history of the world. They’ve had their shot. Man and his belief has been the hurdle before the growth of our species. Mere convictions of primitive thought—hopes that have proven they have not elevated humanity. Doubt the path we are on will now unite us to make the world awesome. We can do better.

The failures are evidenced without a doubt. But we still church it up for the kids sake long after we know the intended result is a farce—never a fruition.

But, just hang in there, have faith and keep doing the same thing over and over. Someone once said that was crazy.

HERE is an Excellent TED on the gospel doubt. It is time to change directions.

What Denomination of Atheism are You?

How atheisms are limited to what we know we don’t know. Is there more to disbelieve?

How much do we need to know before we can safely say we don’t believe?

Having not much in the way of indoctrinations outside Christianity, my unbelief is limited to a specific scope of practice—a field test of the words and ideas that were forced on me without my consent since birth. Really, can we reject all the other gods we don’t yet know?

Since we don’t know much about eastern religion, nor the meanings of orthodoxy, or Hinduism, most of us here have an atheism to the Yahweh god of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The other gods we hardly know, so considering blanket disdain or unbelief in something unknown is nearly impossible but yet, hardly worth the time to explore it out.

The key strong belief lies in pretending this life holds vast importance, that your worry and concern are somehow moral, noble and righteous. But this just isn’t true, and fearing to really live life because of the dogmas has crippled humanity into a fear of being afraid, instead of allowing life to play out the scenes. Fear as a normal part of this exploration, like the order of operations, first comes fear, then comes the faith (which isn’t faith at all, but worry)

We have been conditioned to believe here in the Christian god out of fear and faithless worry, but really it’s all the other gods we don’t know that we should be concerned, worried, and watching about—for we know this one isn’t real.

De-Colonizing Your Mind

Recapturing authenticity—before the Abrahamic enslavement.

“Belief is something you turn to when you don’t know your authentic self”

What better way to control people than to make them sorry for being human? Make them believe they are simply fallen—nothing but welfare dependents expected to be grateful for even the most miserable of lives. Atheists can be just as deprecating as the religious. Human viruses, soulless, dispiritual evolutions of nothing more than a dumb, random accident of the primordial ooze. These are not my people.

Consumers, blindly selling their life and time away for gadgets and fleeting entertainment, the next more outrageous and wasteful than the last, trading life for accumulation, ignoring nature (or manipulating it) without restraint or care, but to eek out a few short years in physical comfort by self enslavement while ignoring vast potentials of depth, character, and connection—these are not my people.

Contentedness need only be approached by finding who you are in relation to this very moment of experience. Not a reminiscent wish or future imagination for the finding, but right now. Settling for cleverly worded ideology with unlimited empty promises has proven it will never run its coarse—grinding humanity to a near-dead stop for millennia. We’ve had enough, or maybe not…

Finding unity, the connection to consciousness is not achieved through belief, but by looking back past the colonizers so seeded with religious ego they destroyed the usefulness of practical knowledge and practice—truth once utility to life before Christianity planted its flags and Islam rooted its heels by force.

Spiritual unity—the knowledge of coexistence with the earth, its plants and creatures, the oneness of life before fear, even today is seen in the actions and minds of the child. Eventually we get to them, and such fearing is handed down because we’ve lost touch with the order of things, and death, the natural cycle of life after life interrupted by mere pauses.

The measurement of our civil advancement is now calculated by longevity. We’ve found a way to miserate ourselves longer and longer, traded for intellectual and spiritual starvation“.

The colonizers, unhappy alone in their own misery and quest for endless greed destroyed countless expressions of being, traded for derogation of everything good and substituted reality with platitudes.

Where we really are is somewhere in the mix of experience measured by time for the moment. Meanwhile “Our authenticity, guarded in distractions and dogmas of fear, is the natural man prior to persuasion, forced down roads of complexity, hiding the subtleness and beauty of the original you”

Reasoning With Resonance

How reason tells us there is only life

Spending a lot of time and years searching for meaning, wondering, worrying, sometimes hoping life lasts and lasts, while other times wishing it was over, takes up a lot of our thought-time here in the earthly—don’t let life pass you by searching for meaning over having experience You won’t find it. You are it.

We certainly can be entertained by the search. The philosophy is quite good to hear and read, but where does it go? What good is knowing your future or understanding past, your hopes shifted here and there by a little dose of some neat words?

Tomorrow is as uncertain as the past (what we can remember of it) and was a state of mind that’s no longer me, but will be accountable for in the Christian hereafter. Maybe I’ll get Alzheimer’s and forget the wrongs I’ve done before I go to die, what then? Is there a dividing line?

We can’t see the supernatural because we are the supernatural. We are a ripple in the extension of galaxies, an antennae, a presence of convergence in the fabric of space and energy. When we meditate and perceive what seems to be another world, are merely glimpses into our past and timeless future. Like a fish seeing the water and being in awe, we too cannot perceive the baseline of our existence which is space (we are made of it) which is life itself.

We. Are. It. We are not I as we typically think of. We cannot find the meaning of our existence because we are the meaning of our existence. Through our lens the universe, us, views itself unknowing the vastness we call space, is we. It is so obvious we cannot imagine life with it or without it.

Abandon the father figure of god that is so ingrained in our western culture, for “god” is merely a co-op, a dispensary of source energy, consciousness, that very concept that eludes us is indeed the mystery. We could not know the darkness without the light, nor peace without the turmoil, heaven without the hell. We exist unable to comprehend our opposite because “I am that I am”.

We cannot imagine what life was like before we were born. Nor can we accept that death is the total end, and at that moment would be as though we never were. To posit an end means we had a beginning. We cannot envision a beginning or an end—we are incapable of it because we always have been.

On Spirituality

How religion is an anchor to the souls of men—dragging a dead weight.

I am an atheist. There is little to convince me the natural order of things needs guidance to align itself with compatible attractions. I do not naturally concur or conclude any god or gods, but only by desperate, impatient persuaders and force-fed answers are we convinced—surrender to its message or be damned.

However, I do not discount the fact that some people are attuned differently to the universe and take advantage of its properties. We are all part of this electric, energy-field of space, full of Planck waves and particles, entangled one with another and everything in between. We are made of energy. It would make sense that we should be able to interact in these fields to our benefit—to use them in the understanding of humanity. We are a part of it, comprised of the same waves that surround us. There is no empty space.

Enter Religion

They have all attended the same schools of thought for the past 3000 years. They debate every friggin word of the Bible (literally) and are a constant dead-weight dragging on the conscious fabric of space. We’re dragging an anchor around with us. Can we imagine for a moment—everyone engaged in real solutions developing human potential celebrating their individual abilities, versus pigeon-holing humanity into a self deprecating belief and abandoning the natural connections and abilities?

There are merely a handful of very smart people plowing on to advance the human cause. How do we escape the numbing stupor of religious beliefs? Humans have the capacity to be outstanding!

“For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself“—Galatians 6:3

I could not disagree more. Seeing what we have to work with I’d say we have much more capacity than the “unworthy servant”.

We start with an insufficient premise of defeat, the worthless sinner, the holes of indoctrination offer an ongoing climb that only gets deeper. We can do more! Much, much more when we realize we’ve got this way beyond “glory to god” for allowing one damn problem free day. The bar is low—way too low.

Whereas all rivers flow to the sea, carving, meandering ways, changing course, moving mountains and civilizations—so it is in the whole universe”

The Nucleus Accumbens

How challenging the addict produces argument and deception through the sympathetic nervous system

Neuroscience is continuing its advances and testing-down the exclusivity of religious convictions (feelings) and their purported source—god is losing his grip—the cat is climbing out of the bag.

Based on fMRI scans, the researchers found that powerful spiritual feelings were reproducibly associated with activation in the nucleus accumbens, a critical brain region for processing reward.

Spirituality can be reproduced in the laboratory or academic study. An interesting note—when a challenge threatens the belief, you then endanger the source of the addiction—And the source of the religious addiction lies in your own neurons and endocrine system. Threaten any addict, sit back and hear the excuses, the lies, and the deceit. The threat in this addiction also stimulates the fight or flight—adrenaline—hence the argument—in the face of facts.

Interestingly I can reproduce the same neurological affects of religion with medication, sex, lies, meditation, junk food—and the spirit of god, of course. It’s no wonder endocrine and in-doctrine , are so similar

This article HERE has some additional insights.

It is so clear that our minds are easily manipulated by an array of influence. Best be careful out there—awareness and acceptance of these facts is a push towards reality.

Holy Spirit or Hormones?

Finding spirituality—a physiology solution for measuring faith in micrograms

Finely tuned sermons are designed to produce emotion. Next time you feel the spirit, please take a moment to thank god for the substantia nigra and the ventral tegmental area of your brain—this is where production of the neurohormone that is released by the hypothalamus—Almighty Dopamine

Also thank god for serotonin and endorphins. These are two of the LORDs best kept secrets, bringing people into the fold by tiny micrograms of inspiration.

“Phenylethamine is the hormone that results in the feelings we get in the early stages of a relationship. Cocoa beans contain Phenylethamine too— Getting a release of this hormone with just the right manipulative timing can cement your relationship with Jesus—god-is-that-good”!

The pharmacological relationship between phenethylamine and amphetamine suggest that phenethylamine plays a prominent role in mediating mood-enhancing euphoric effects. Initially discovered in 1935, it became widely known in 1953 in US research. We’d known about it but was studied as enteramine.

Whatever you call it, it’s the good stuff that can be released by mood enhanced sermons, falling in love, or moments of emotional and physical rescue. Combine these babies with adrenaline, norepinephrine, and cortisol in a crisis and you can literally see the image of god come to the rescue, etched in your memory forever based on your precondition response.

When people experience a traumatic event, the body releases two major stress hormones: norepinephrine and cortisol. Norepinephrine boosts heart rate and controls the fight-or-flight response, commonly rising when individuals feel threatened or experience highly emotional reactions. It is chemically similar to the hormone epinephrine — better known as adrenaline.

In the brain, norepinephrine in turn functions as a powerful neurotransmitter or chemical messenger that enhances memory.(1)

Here we see that god has done nothing that evolution didn’t do first. While in days of old these feelings were credited to god, we know now that spiritual experience is nothing more than the release of hormones—where timing is everything. An upbeat crowd or a calculating sermon or a life altering event and…Voilet!

HERE is a fantastic 5 minute video explaining more (Thanks Victoria)

If you want to activate all the receptors in your brain at once; LSD BABY! “Right now we know for sure that LSD has activity at: Dopamine receptors, adrenergic receptors, and serotonin receptors 2A, 2C, 5C, and 6. Some Glutamate receptors is also required for the effects of LSD(2)
