Behold My Hands and My Feet, Jesus We Have a Problem

“But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭24:37-39‬ ‭KJV‬‬

37 billion acres of land and an estimated 108 billion modern humans have populated the earth.

That about 10 resurrected zombies per habitable hectare after the return of the jesus. Here’s the problem though.

According to scripture, the mainstream views, and along with our example of Jesus having scars in his hands and feet, the consensus is one of trouble. It is truly zombi-ish in all accounts. “An hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and will come forth

We will have the same bodies.

There are many Scriptural reasons for believing that we will be raised with the same body that died. First, Christ was raised in the same body He had before He died. We know this because the tomb was empty (Luke 24:1-6) and because His resurrected body retained scars from the crucifixion (John 20:25, 27). Since Christ’s resurrection is the pattern that our resurrection will follow (Philippians 3:20-21; 1 Cor. 15:49), then we will also be raised with the same body.

But what about Cremated or exploded wartime bodies. This is going to be interesting.

“If” any of it were true, his followers are looking for another season of walking dead, where the maimed, and the halt, and the disfigured roam around for 8 octillion years, loving each other and carrying gunnysacks full of the totally dismembered and cremated living.

And since the pope says all animals will be in heaven too, look like it will be standing room only.

  1. That’s a nice point, the cremated bodies. What do you think will happen? Will he rise again? According to Hindu scriptures, there’s another Avatar of lord Vishnu yet to rise. Will Christ rise again?

    1. Well he must have our DNA codes stored in a notebook or something. That way we come back just like we started. From the primordial ooze of the Petri dish.

        1. I don’t rule it out at all. The science is possible, there are some compelling accounts remembering past lives, and they are not ties to regional religious belief. Plus I like the idea, but no way to know til it happens I guess. I do feel we’re part of the cosmos, and that we always will be. Like that quote from Buckminster, I am a verb. An integral part of the universe. Maybe. Lol

            1. There was another girl born that claimed to be her. Knew every detail and even knew the streets of Amsterdam and found the house without the help of her parents. She knew of pictures that were missing off the walls in her old house. Very compelling.

  2. I really enjoyed reading this. I think the way that it’s written and the language that you use is really interesting and effective. I am an atheist and your posts will make me remain one.

    1. If you want people to follow your blog, joining the conversations for a while is a better approach than just trolling for followers. Nobody here works that way.

      1. Jim, Keith’s comment looks almost exactly like and worded like his last one. You might consider having them just go straight to Spam — then Trash permanently. That’s what I do with trolling puter-bots. 😉 😛

      2. Some of us, like me, don’t do any work at all. I get up every morning and buy a box of donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts; then, I offer free donuts to people if they’ll clean my house, cook for me, and tuck me in at night. I’m currently working on my autobiography called, “I Gave A Guy Some Donuts To Write This Book For Me.” It’s gonna be grand. (Excellent post, BTW.)

  3. Oy veh! It’s no wonder why Mormons and all those other non-true Christian sects are going to hell. They don’t follow the correct interpretation of the scriptures. In 1 Corinthians 15:35-58 and 2 Corinthians 5:1-5, the “visionary” apostle Paul unambiguously informs us that we will receive new and improved, imperishable spiritual bodies — not these mortal rags we currently inhabit. 🙂

  5. Jim did you manage to watch the terminator movie with the liquid terminator? When blasted apart the bits and drops start searching for each other and grouping up again. Maybe the old almighty wants to make it like that, a game that would take a while. With my luck I would get merged with a rather smelly rodent creature. Yuck. Hugs
